![]() ![]() Tekken 8 doesn’t have an exact release date just yet, but we do know that when the game does launch into the marketplace, you’ll find it available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. With Tekken 8 looking to bring a more action-packed and fast-paced aggressive gameplay style, players will want to get ready for a real fight. But alongside the returning characters are bound to be some exciting newcomers as well. We know that there are a few notable returning characters coming into the game, such as Jin Kazama, Paul Phoenix, and Nina Williams. Tekken 8 has officially been revealed, after a tease last month. At any rate, we’re thrilled to see what characters are next for a gameplay reveal trailer after the release of King’s. If you haven’t seen Paul Phoenix in action, you can check out that gameplay reveal footage right here. You’ll get to see him face a couple of different characters, including the previously revealed character gameplay showcase of Paul Phoenix. The gameplay looks to show just how fast-paced and brutal King can be in a match. Now we have a look into King’s movements being used in the upcoming Tekken 8 video game. ![]() Both of the characters that served as King in the games are luchadores from Mexico with a focus on supporting orphans. Because the King character has a jaguar mask, it’s hard not to forget this character in the franchise. It’s also one of the more recognizable characters in the entire franchise. If you’re a fan of the franchise, you know that two characters have taken the name, King. In a new video upload today, the developers are sharing a snippet of gameplay footage for King fans. We’ve seen several characters get a gameplay showcase, and now we have another to highlight. It’s allowing players a look at how some of their favorite past characters will look in this next major release. But while we wait for the game to receive a release date, these marketing materials serve another purpose. This has allowed a look into what’s to come with this new game installment release. Since the game was first announced, we have seen a steady release of marketing materials to hype up the upcoming launch. Bandai Namco took center stage at The Game Awards 2022 with the reveal of a new trailer for its upcoming 3D martial arts fighter, Tekken 8. There are currently six other characters we know are coming who are yet to receive trailers-Jack-8, King, Lars Alexandersson, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, and Jun Kazama. The Tekken franchise is getting its eighth mainline installment. If Bandai Namco keeps up the pace I half-expect there to be a new trailer each week in the runup to EVO Japan at the end of March. It's still early days though, and we're currently three character trailers down with a lot more to hopefully see. ![]() There are an awful lot of particle effects, something not everyone has been enjoying. It seems like Tekken 8 is doing away with some of its darker realism in favour of flashy anime showmanship, something I'm personally 100% here for. It's making it seem unlikely that the latter is returning as a playable character and instead, it may be that the two have merged and Jin can (somewhat) keep his devilish side under control. He's using some moves we haven't seen before, plus it looks like he's cribbed a few from Devil Jin. Similar to Kazuya's trailer, the two are fighting on a brand-new stage that looks a whole lot like a Tekkenfied Times Square in New York. ![]()
